About the art
Artist statement
Karin Weller has been fascinated by glass and lighting, embracing all the possibilities you can explore with this unpredictable material. After 30 years working as a stained glass artist in Guatemala, she has collected many scraps of glass from different essays and prototypes. She decided to explore more about the molten glass technique to start a new dialogue between color and unexpected shapes, using the scraps of glass as a repurposed material, to give birth to a new exploration of inventive and creative elucidation to create art. Incandescence represents the luminiscent bodies that emits energy and light.
