LOST and FOUND #102

This wood sculpture was inspired by the Irish Wood Carver Glenn Lucas. Karmin saw these long beautiful wood spiral shavings fall from the bowl to the floor. From that exact moment, the “Lost and Found” series began.
Creating these sculptures is very time consuming. In each sculpture Karmin incorporates some of Lucas' natural wood shavings that have fallen to the floor and have been “LOST” or discarded. She “FOUND” them and gave them the purpose of creating something beautiful. When she can, she tries to use recycled wood for the backing. This sculpture is so unique and definitely a conversation starter. It is full of texture and details and being a circle is something different right from the start. It is not your typical rectangle piece of artwork. The soft curves of the hand curled wooden reeds are so aesthetically pleasing to look at. She hopes when you look at the sculpture you will feel energized, full of life, and full of wonder. This piece is ready to hang and will add a "wow" factor to any room. It is sprayed with a UV protective spray but not recommended to be hung in direct sunlight. Custom pieces, color, size, and shape upon request.
