Artist statement
Karmin uses dyed wooden reeds which are first straight. ONE BY ONE BY HAND she twists, curls, spirals, turns, and curves each reed that you see within the sculpture. She then puts all these curls, spirals, shapes, and colors together ONE BY ONE BY HAND to develop a sculpture that is bursting with color and movement. In this big beautiful sculpture Karmin creates a continuous blending of colors creating the full spectrum. Attention to detail and her knowledge of color is evident in creating this gorgeous rainbow circle. The vivid bright colors will be the center piece to any room. The soft curves of the circle and the gentle blending of the colors makes this 3-D wall sculpture so pleasing to the eye and calming to look at. Make a statement with this one of a kind piece of artwork. This is a new style and medium of art that has never been done before. It is sprayed with a UV protective spray but not recommended to be hung in direct sunlight. Custom pieces available upon request.
