Artist statement
I use dyed wooden reeds which are first straight. ONE BY ONE BY HAND I twist, curl, spin, turn, and curve each reed that you see within the sculpture. I then put all these curls, spirals, shapes, and colors together ONE BY ONE BY HAND to develop a sculpture that is bursting with color and movement. The shape of the circle is a great compliment to the organic shapes found in the sculpture. This is a distinctive piece of art that is sure to make a statement in any room. This sculptures is so unique and you'll never find another one like it. It is sprayed with a protective UV spray but not recommended to be hung in direct sunlight.
