Artist statement
Creating this sculpture was very time consuming. Each wooden reed was hand dipped into white paint before I hand curled them. This sculpture is so distinctive and definitely a conversation starter. It is full of texture and details. If you like modern then you'll love this sculpture. The soft curves of the hand curled wooden reeds are so aesthetically pleasing to look at. The sculpture casts beautiful shadows on the wall throughout the day as the sun moves across the sky. This small to medium skinny white sculpture will go with any color room and can fit those hard to decorate wall spaces. It would look great in a beach house for a nice clean and fresh accent to any wall. This piece is ready to hang vertically or horizontally.
