About the art
Artist statement
In this sculpture, Karmin decided to use soft pastel colors. The pastel colors will give a subtle excitement to any room. LOST and FOUND #95 is a calm, gentle, sculpture yet adds an undeniable sense of interest to any wall. You will be fascinated with all the hand curled pieces of wood that Karmin curls one by one, that make up this piece of art. LOST and FOUND #95 can be hung vertically or horizontally. This style of contemporary organic artwork has never been done before. It is a one of a kind unique new style of art that you will never find anywhere else. Karmin was inspired by watching a bowl being carved on a lathe and seeing the wood curls fall to the floor which became "lost" or unwanted anymore. She "found" them and created something beautiful. From being "lost" to being "found". It is sprayed with a UV protective spray but not recommended to be hung in all day direct sunlight. Karmin will also work with you to create a custom piece of color, size, and shape.
