About the art
Artist statement
In this vibrant abstract painting, I have created textures of flowers that are subtle raised surfaces...thus "The Secret Garden" title. The light source changes the colors quite dramatically and the raised imprinted flowers/foliage can be seen beautifully (from a side view especially). The pops of contrasting yellow-orange and coral hues suggest sun breaking through the lush garden of greens, blues and deep ultra marine with added magenta. I find this painting contemplative and warming.
