Artist statement
The large square luminescent color field abstract "Sunshine State of Mind III" is a recent addition to my series of paintings that explores the pastel palette. The juxtaposition of the cool blue against the warm yellow features the interaction of color opposites that I studied with professors who had been students of the great colorist Josef Albers, author of "Interaction of Color".
