Artist statement
"Rosen Beach" is inspired by the fabulous pink beach boxes at Rosen Beach, located in the Milano Marittima region on Italy's Adriatic coast. The symmetrical composition, teamed with a saturated colour palette evokes a very 'Wes Anderson' feel, instantly transporting you to the warm sandy shores of a summertime vacation. The pink walls are highly textured with a thick application of an impasto acrylic and resin sand mix, offering that extra tactile element that brings the painting to life.
