A Shark in a Swell in the Ocean on a Starry Night 100a7q is an abstraction of a part of another abstract image (A Swell in the Ocean on a Starry Night) which itself is in fact an abstraction of a tiny part of another abstract image (Fountain of Remembrance Series). What is represented here is about 1/10000 of the originating image, and it reminds me of being a teenager on the beach at night with a group of friends, daring each other to swim in the dark black sea, and imagining exactly this creature waiting for us if we dared go in. (of course none of us did - and this was before the movie Jaws came out). There are several versions of this image; this one (100a7q) I have tinted in a brownish gray, black and white , more suggestive of the ocean on a moonlit night than the colored ones.
