About the art
Artist statement
Geometric 2021 - 126f (The Red and the Black) is an abstraction of a kaleidoscopic image. the main image (2021 - 126) has several versions, each limited to 3 prints per version. In this version (2021 - 126f) I have eliminated all the pastel tones of the original main image, and rendered the image solely in red and black to create a very contrasting array of just two colors. It is intended that the viewer think of this as some sort of board game, and the red and black colors were chosen as they are a common variation of the two colors of chess pieces, and very very common as colors of the squares on the chess board.
Note - this work is offered in 3 sizes -- 30” H x 23” W // 40” H x 30.6” W // 50” H. x 38.3” W -- but is limited to 3 PRINTS TOTAL FOR ALL 3 SIZES COMBINED Whichever size prints are purchased, when 3 prints have been made, this version of this image will be "Sold Out"
