Artist statement
Oculus 233g7 is an abstraction of part of the Oculus Structure at Ground Zero in NYC, which was also casting shadows on the interior, seen through the windows from the inside, while the glass was also reflecting the interior of the structure at the same time. There are several versions of the main image (Oculus 233), each limited tp 3 prints for each version. In this version (g7), I have reduced all color to various shades of the same monochrome brown to yield a version that has a wood-like, organic feeling and which is just concerned with the overlapping shapes of the elements as a geometric pattern in different shadings and shadows
