About the art
Artist statement
I select small pieces of photographs and paint with them the way I would do with traditional paint. Also I paint with the brushes that the digital world provides: brushes that are not meant to be brushes, they are meant just to be effects, filters and modes. But I use them as traditional paint brushes. Ofcourse, there is a lot of me in this digital painting. But I love to leave the interpretation open for the viewer. My intention is that every viewer can own this painting and interprete it as he/she wishes. Like instrumental music.
Print on satin paper with an acrylic layer on top of it. On solid dibond. Frame on the back for hanging. This work doesn't need to be framed around the picture anymore, it is supposed to be unframed.
