About the art
Artist statement
Barrier was inspired by an artists symposium Jackson was invited to in 2015 that had the working title of, 'A Journey to Hope'. This work, one of a set of four new digital prints, revisit the same theme, and use in the making, scanned elements of purpose made mixed media painting on various supports.
Limited edition of 25, signed and numbered prints.
'Barrier' has had several manifestations in the artist's recent workings. Initially, it was a watercolour sketch now sold, and then a painting 140 x 96 cm, that became part of the symposium’s permanent collection in Turkey.
