Artist statement
Three elements vie with and rely upon one another. None are entirely self-sufficient as each proclaim their place.
In making and proof-printing this work, I have used both one and two plates, and printed a number of colour state-proofs as mono-prints. Apricot was always the key, but I tried vermilion, green and a background of sepia. Finally it was the close almost monochrome harmonies from two tones of apricot that balanced the composition.
