About the art
Artist statement
The canvas is lightly sized and looks to have the soft quality of cloth, the background is a blend of chalk-whites and apricot pigments. I chose this to make a distinct textural feature of the lines drawn in black wax. The graphic imagery are
elements buffered and supported, as if heaped upon a table. This is a strong and simple quasi-geometric composition garnered and reworked from a larger painting.
If shipped in a box, the painting is ready to hang with simple fixings. If shipped rolled, it is a straight-forward job for a framer to stretch the canvas ready to install.
