About the art
Artist statement
A note, sail, or streamer, turning back to form and make context of its own background. Conversely, the flying motif can be imagined emerging from a ‘no-place’ to full, assertive proclamation.

This painting was initially worked horizontally to form the texture and under-colours, then fixed vertical to complete using a range of wax, oil, and pigments.
