Artist statement
Vocal in Blue - Number Two of a series of limited edition prints on the theme of vocal harmonies. Of the chorus and background vocals intertwining the base, percussion and rhythmic structures beneath a melody. This work, printed in my studio, is a single intaglio printing from a hand carved cardboard ‘plate’, varnished for longevity. Conceived and executed in landscape format, I find the work reads as well as a portrait.
