Artist statement
Wing Beats has the oscillations and iridescence of feathers. There is a point of grounded solidity to the left which dissolves into a controlled if apparently violent energy as the lines take flight. ‘I think this work had more to do with the sound of flapping wings as a bird or birds light into the air.’
This work at 140 x 190 cm can be shipped in a roll with the stretcher bars included within the package.
