This painting is part of the series "The Thousand and One Nights" that is inspired by cities Khalid visited and he hopes to visit again and to stay there for longer times.
He called it “Dating Valentina” after an event that can be fiction or non-fiction, that took place in East European city. Although, a very normal city, it felt to him like a garden of roses.
He made the painting in August 2021. The medium is oil on canvas of size 47x71 inches (120x180 cm).
He has signed it on the front. The stretched canvas is staple free sides, wired on the back and with no need for framing. It's ready to hang.
