"As We Tiptoed Out Of Our Underground Caves"#2
"As We Tiptoed Out Of Our Underground Caves" is a large scale oil on paper work produced for an exhibition in die Kunstschaffenden Galerie in Linz in 2020. The exhibition entitled "In Dialogue with the Unknown" reflected on the unusual possitive effects of the corona virus.
The work ‘As We Tiptoe Out of Our Underground Caves’ depicts the last photons of light that flicker over the landscape and which seem to make the air dance around the tall looming mountain silhouettes. The strange yet magical quiet that fell over us during lockdown seemed to allow the landscape to breathe again. As we tiptoed around in the quiet, the mountains reintroduced themselves to us.
This work is one of a pair that were hung back-to-back to create an oil-tapestry hanging. They are unique one-off works but are a pair as they are mirror images of each other. They can be hung together in the centre of a space or bought separately and hung against the wall.
