Artist statement
The light at dawn colour the land softly and together with the play of shadows the day gradually emerges. A slow movement and a silent moment.
Kristin is drawn to untouched nature, often using abstract landscapes to express moods and emotions, it is not site specific landscapes but more the essence of an experience expressed via a landscape. Kristin lives at the West coast of Norway and this closeness to the sea and fjords are present in her artworks.
This artwork is made with Unison Colour soft pastels on 300 g Arches cold pressed paper and has a fine layer of Sennelier fixative as finishing a coat. It has a delicate surface and needs the protection of glass. It ships flat in a box.
