Artist statement
Big Bang features a baby chilli - drawing on the fiery nature of chilli peppers to symbolise energy and intensity. Kumari's art prominently incorporates abstract interpretations of nature. Influenced by her religious background and traditional Hindu upbringing, her sculptures are inspired by the daily rituals and practices associated with these roots. Many of these rituals involve seeds, pods, and the utilisation of chillies, elements that have consequently found expression in her artistic endeavours.
