The Crescent Series is both a celebration of geometry and connection. The overlapping circles represent the coming together of ideas, people, or how any two seemingly different entities can be brought together to find harmony. These pieces were some of our most difficult to make, incorporating many calculations to make the circles connect through sloping trapezoid shapes.
The work is bold from a distance yet up close the viewer is struck by multilayer textural painting and hand sanded patterns in the metal.
