Magnolia is an ancient genus that predates the evolution of bees and was first pollinated by beetles.
Part of a series of works looking at the human mind's inability to perceive the vastness of time and humanity's fragility. A species normally lasts around 10-20 million years, these living fossils show the duality of the hope of life and also its frailty.
