Luxembourg Art Prize Finalist 2021
In my studio during the height of the pandemic, I was holding simple white copy paper in the sun. It was making the most surprising forms while moving and shaping the paper in the light. Thinking of Plato's “The Cave”, what really makes up our reality? What is the form of spacetime, and can our mind perceive its reality? Similar to looking out at the horizon and not realizing the world is round. Perhaps we are “flatlanders living in flatland”.
