Artist statement
If you know by Lana Alsamir-Diamond - This minimal but bold work is a result of the artist's continued interest in themes of closeness.
"This piece is painted on craft paper rather than the hand made 100% cotton paper I usually use", Alsamir-Diamond has used an Acrylic with a slight gloss rather than ink, which created beautiful brush marks on the surface and the humble craft paper offers a rawness to the piece.
This work is striking but not extravagant and is reminiscent of my Love Series, which you can find listed here too.
