Artist statement
Free style swimmer in a tropical swimming pool, landscape on background.
Oil painting on MDF panel.
Back signed, certificate of authenticity, Mibac certificate.
If you have seen my other works you will wonder why I made an oil painting similar to a digital one already for sale, well, usually digital copies of the originals are made, but sometimes I like to go against the tide and do the opposite of normalcy and rule, which is an exception, so I process and create digital originals, and then I enjoy reproducing them with my hands with traditional techniques, looking at the digital one.
Moreover, today the world seems to be changing towards digital so we must try to get used to a new normal
If you look at them both you will see that the perfection achieved with digital is impossible (at least for me) to achieve with brushes and spatula.
