Artist statement
F*CK SLUT SHAMING is a piece of my "Reality" series. Its topic is in a satirical manner that women and girls can wear whatever they want without being slut shamed or victim blamed. Wikipedia says "Examples of slut-shaming include being criticized or punished for: violating dress code policies by dressing in perceived sexually provocative ways; requesting access to birth control; having premarital, extramarital, casual, or promiscuous sex; or engaging in prostitution."
Back to the artwork: In the fetish scene such latex masks are worn accessoires of some sort of role model ("slut") that cannot be automatically be transferred to real life. We need to fight slut shaming and empower women and girls to have agency over their own sexuality.
