Artist statement
Warm feelings caused by memories of a vacation spent in Istanbul.
I went to Istanbul for the first time in December 2021. I tried to draw my impressions of this beautiful city.
This original artwork uses a combination of acrylic paints and pastels on a 2cm deep, gallery-wrapped canvas. It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. The painting continues around the sides of the canvas. Framing is not required.
