She's ovum

In her works, Lin Fanlu looks at the traditional handi¬craft from the perspective of a contemporary artist. She went to Zhou Cheng village of Dali city in Yunnan province, China to explore artisanship of the tie-dye techniques kept and carried on by the women of the local Bai ethnic minority group. Spending 3 years with the locals, observing their life and absorbing the traditions, not only she learn the techniques of tie-dying but also the ones of embroidery. From then, she went on experimenting and implementing traditional craft techniques in the creation of her art.
