Pastel waterside

This painting was inspired by Asian Zen landscapes, and I wanted to highlight relaxing and familiar elements, like symbols that ask us to suspend time and stop. I chose to use pastel colours for their softness and ability to catch the eye, so that the painting would really encourage us to rest. The symbolic elements of rest that I've chosen to highlight are a sunset, a little hut that we can imagine joining to spend a moment of calm, water in which the sun and sky are reflected and flowers inspired by magnolias but which are the fruit of my imagination.

The idea of this work is to create a visual meditation to put ourselves in harmony with nature and the end of the day. I'm trying to create dream-like paintings.

The work was created using acrylic on canvas, using both the water capacity of the acrylic for the background and thicker strokes for the flowers to create contrast and relief.

The painting is signed by hand on the front and back. It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

This work is a way of offering ourselves a moment of reconnection with ourselves and with the nature of which we are the fruit.
