About the art
Artist statement
Tantum is part of a series of works that I am developing through painting and collage on cotton paper. The name Tantum comes from Latin and means ALONE - a profile of a woman strong and proud. The scraps of paper were painted with paints I developed in my studio with mineral pigments. The paper used is Hanhemülhe Photo Rag 308 gsm and the base of this work is in wood. In addition to acrylic paint, I used oil stick and some details with water-based marking pens. This is a unique work, without digital copies.
