About the art
Artist statement
I realize that the cross doesn't have to mean only pain or cruelty, so I don't see its message that way, rather I see the story as something that is much more complete and even joyful. That's why I depicted the cross only as a hint and set it in a yellow environment with playful elements.
I am gaining the conviction that the story that unfolded on the cross reveals to me/us humans one important message, and that is that we have an infinitely high value to God. And I like this idea.
