Dandelions. Born to Fly

Created in 2020, "Born to Fly" is part of my Dandelions series, born from a time when the world felt confined and still. Walking my dog along the same path each day, I found myself captivated by dandelions—fragile yet resilient, bound to the earth yet destined to drift. I brought them into my home studio to explore their symbolism: a delicate structure on the verge of release, their seeds poised to catch the wind and set off on a journey of their own.

In this piece, I sought to explore the shared purpose of two small, delicate forms from different worlds: a dandelion seed and a bird's feather. Both captured through a macro lens, these fragile elements of flora and fauna share a common destiny—to fly. I wanted to highlight the universality of movement and freedom across nature, showing that, despite their origins, both are bound by an innate calling to drift, soar, and embrace the air.

This artwork is a collage, composed of two separate photographs, printed together as a single image, reinforcing the dialogue between these natural forms.
