About the art
Artist statement
It is a work based on the main theme of Solís' work, the landscape and its expressionist and gestural reinterpretation. Incorporate shapes of thick lines and strokes as graphic elements with dominant colors, which is a primary factor in the artistic work of Marisu Solís. This work is based on Marisu Solís' encounter with her village in Asturias where she has her studio and is the background of the blue sky and the countryside color.
It is a visual and abstract representation. My painting is very emotional and has stains and fields of color as the main builder of the composition, but the graphic gesture that amalgamates the composition also emerges.
