Artist statement
Marisu Solís invites us to contemplate a landscape where the Asturian cliff, the sea, and the countryside converge in a symphony of color and gesture. The cheerful palette of sepia, green, blue, orange, yellow, ochre, and red tones unfolds in broad chromatic fields that create a close and welcoming spatial atmosphere.
The work combines the power of expressionist brushstrokes with the subtlety of color, creating a balance between the energy of the gesture and the serenity of the landscape. The horizon blurs into vibrant spots and suggestive shapes, evoking the sea breeze and the calm of the Asturian countryside.
