About the art
Artist statement
Oil painting of the view of our galaxy, the Milky Way, seen from Earth. Scientifically accurate representation rendered in a traditional painterly style. This work was the focal point for my recent series, Star Clouds, in which I zoomed in on various areas along the Milky Way arm and created a series of star scape paintings. It was exhibited alongside some of the other works in my solo show, Celestial Light (2021).
