About the art
Artist statement
The Great Orion Nebula. Visible in the constellation Orion the hunter, below the three straight stars that are his belt. I always make an effort to drive out where the skies are clearer and observe this nebula through my binoculars during the winter months and this has been all the more common since being in lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This painting represents my solace and escapism during such a strange and difficult time.
