This painting features an extremely elongated figure together with two minuscule figures in a minimalist environment. By playing with scale the artist wants to provoke a sense of confusion for the viewer while creating a counterbalance in her otherwise more melancholic and introspective work.
At first, the viewer is struck by the lonely figure on one of the pillars but when coming closer the two minuscule bathers appear which gives another dimension to the painting. The ironic title is adding to the confusion. It is up to the viewer to complete the story.
The wall remains an important feature in her work, built up by different layers of acrylic, oil paint and embedded written, often ambiguous or challenging, thoughts. The title and the subjects themselves a comment on social attitudes. The work ships in a wooden crate and is ready to hang. Avoid hanging it in areas of high humidity and direct sunlight.
