Artist statement
Elusive Fantasy is an original biomorphic abstract expressionistic acrylic painting with Asian influences by California artist Marlene Struss. The panel is cradled in wood varnished to complement the painting, signed by Marlene Struss, protected with satin-gloss polymer varnish, wired and ready to hang in your home or office. The dominant colors are greenish-blue, light yellow, with soft reds and greens. The work is a feminine vision, a dream where a diaphanous haze of soft color covers the mysterious scene that is only glimpsed through protean portals. The painting describes a beautiful curious mind at rest.
