Artist statement
A young woman stands in front of us, she wears a dress whose motifs merge with the surrounding landscape, she escapes into an imaginary world.
Signed and dated on the back, it will be send carrefully rolled in a tube, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
The artwork could be delivered stretched and packed in a crate , but an additional cost will be applied.
Marta Grassi is an Uruguayan artist living in France. Her work is imbued with the imagery of South America and the magical realism of his literature, populated by imaginary characters. These women, shamans, fairies or witches are strong and powerful and appear to us in a vegetal environment just evoked, going towards abstraction. They stare at the spectator to question him. The viewer is free to wonder about the intention of this gaze on him.
