About the art
Artist statement
"Abstraction des Collages - No. 5" opens a fascinating new series by artist Martin Ecker, which uses the medium of analogue photography as a starting point for creative compositions, creating new spaces with light and time. Each artwork in this series resembles an impressive installation in a public space, namely the forest. Ecker skilfully uses smoke bombs and fog machines to realise the inner image on the outside. The resulting works are reproduced on scooped paper using an art printing process, which creates a unique aesthetic quality. Smaller or larger formats of these artworks are available on request.
