Artist statement
Inspiration
With this ceramic wall sculpture I set out to create a piece that followed on with the exploration of combining wheel thrown spheres and using colour to invite the artwork to vividly pop. I was driven by the process.
In the past royalty was often seen treasuring blue and white ceramics and so I decided to focus on this colour palette to make a spin on this.
It is a playful sculpture that throws up questions about how ceramic sculpture should be seen.
I hope this wall sculpture can inspire curiosity and playfulness into your life.
