About the art
Artist statement
The subject is abstract: a red shape which seems to have no link with reality apart from the simplified image of some task and whose ends are literally off-screen. The background in which the task is embedded can be compared to a geometric funnel with four sides which simulates depth thanks to a play of shadows: either own shadows on the facets, or shadows cast by the red shape. In this work, unlike most who use it, the frame is figurative, painted in an illusionistic way.
