About the art
Artist statement
Series Landsurface No. 2 is available as solitude artwork or combined with Landsurface No. 1 and Landsurface No. 3
Inspiration
Maximo Simon is guided by environmentally conscious themes and refers to nature in its works. He engages in chemical processes and emotionally directs the colors over the background. He pays attention to natural motifs and implements them in abstract form.
Technique & Style
The artwork is painted with diffrent inks in blue and green in many layers and different haptic surfaces (sand, cracks). Under the paint is a cracked structre combined with an haptic sandy structure to create liveliness. Stylistically, the works can be assigned to the abstract, expressionist style.
additional information
The artwork is unique, dated and signed. It will be sent with the stretcher frame as a stretched canvas. The image is sealed with UV varnish. You will receive a "Certificate of Authenticity".
The work does not require any special maintenance. The colors are lightfast and retain their intensity. Occasional dusting is recommended. Additionally, the sides of the canvas are also painted and are part of the artwork.
If no hanging device is attached, the wooden frame can be placed directly on nails or screws (a different suspension is only recommended for heavy pictures, depending on the building structure). Hanging devices can also be attached by the artist if desired.
Colors in the photo may differ from the original as the fine nuances cannot be captured.
