About the art
Artist statement
Rising sun, kingdom of lead, oil on canvas, it was done during the pandemic. The painting represents tension between the sitting figure and his habitat (in his kingdom). It also shows hope for the future as the sun is about to rise. There is a tension between human condition and everlasting hope. Human condition feels like lead, heavy and static but there is a moment when the rising sun gives energy to the figure to stand up.
The painting is on stretcher bars, it is ready to hang and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
