About the art
Artist statement
Inspired by the unseasonable warm day in Autumn, the piece depicts an array of native Australian flora, including Banksia's, eucalyptus, and wattle. These plants, known for their resilience in the scorching Australian sun, add an element of natural beauty and authenticity to the composition.
The artist employs a cohesive colour palette consisting of faded, warm oil colours, creating a harmonious and nostalgic atmosphere. With skillful brushstrokes and a keen eye for detail, Howse brings the collection of Australian native flowers to life, infusing the artwork with a sense of serenity. The flowers are arranged in a pastel yellow vase, adding a touch of softness to the overall composition.
Using oil paint, a medium known for its longevity and depth of colour, Howse ensures that 'You're Beautiful' will last for generations, becoming a cherished piece of art.
Comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring that the artwork is an original creation by Meredith Howse.
