Artist's Statement:
""Together" is the first in a series of line drawings made using the presentation software, PowerPoint, and investigating the issues of space, language and imagination. Featuring the ampersand-shaped floor plan of a dwelling, the drawing contains a mix of conventional symbols of domestic fittings and those that are more ambiguous. As the name of the symbol "&" and representing "and", the ampersand addresses the complexities and complications of lived experiences. It points to the paradox of home as a site of social negotiation and a cradle for solitary daydreaming."
