Artist statement
Fleur is an expressive work and has been created from a gorgeous rich palette on a neutral background. The juxtaposition of the neutral background and bright colours creates a vibrant piece inspired by Australian Botanicals and their expressive nature.
My artworks are made using mixed media with products such as acrylic paints and pastels. Paint is applied using brush strokes or splashing on the page depending on the feeling I am trying to convey. My process is intuitive, whereby each step in my process informs the next. I aim to create artwork that is not only beautiful but impactful and engages a deep connection with the viewer.
